One of the most annoying bugs in the latest update is that when my gadget is in landscape orientation, the miniplayer does not show up. Therefore, whenever I tap on a video, the sound begins to play, but both the video and the miniplayer are nowhere to be seen. If I cannot see the miniplayer, how the hell can I view the video?
FYI, I am encountering this problem on an iPad Air 1 running on iOS 7.
So that's what it is... thanks for figuring this out. It isn't a proper fix of course. Hopefully, a new version will be posted soon. The mini-player idea I don't like at all! My iPad is a 4th-gen model still running iOS 6.
The other big disaster was rebuilding the thumbnails of my video collection... I stopped counting how many times VLC crashed and had to be restarted. And still it took an agonizingly long time to rebuild all the thumbnails... this was a serious problem some versions back but in this new version things have changed for the worst in this area!
Another oddity is that the last two videos in my collection don't display in the list of existing videos... one has to push past the bottom of the list to see their thumbnails, but they don't stay, the display springs back and hides them. Odd!
