Ever since I found out there's a VLsub extension already in the VLC player, I always use it to download the subs for my files. Especially because my little sister watches them too, and she likes it better with English subtitles along with the audio.
Anyhow, I just downloaded the newest Pretty Little Liars episode and wanted to get the subs, but it doesn't work anymore:

It used to say that the subtitles where like applied to the files i don't know anymore, but it now only shows the green bar. And the files are a mess. No matter how long i wait it doesn't change. I already tried closing the application, and resetting the settings.
I hope someone can help!
I tried if it was a problem with the subtitle/file/episode, but when I tried other subs and files, it was the same result.
I am using MacBook Pro, newest version of VLC. But I don't think it is OS related.
