hie, i used to have the 2.0.8 32 bit,
because it work well with all the sound in mkv, mp3 and so on...and my favorite part is you can choose witch chanel you want the sound to exit(stereo, 5.1 and so on) on any newer version you just can't, you have to go to windows setting to change output....no cool or easy when you go from headset to stereo, playing a 5.1.
-------------------------------
but the biggest issue i am having so far is some bug with FLAC....i still dont know what is going on.
when i play a FLAC, sound get missing for a ms , like skipping it, and its random.
most of my file are 44100hz 16 bit, i also have 192000hz 24 bit and still the same.
it play perfectly in foobar2000 so i dont think its file or system issue.
i have been reinstalling 2.0.8 with cleaning old file with both delete version and reinstall version.
i also tried the new 2.2.1 ( despite the fact that i hate it for above reason) and its even worst... i am missing bigger part of sound and instead of 2.0.8 that just skip, this version give me a blank, no sound until it find it again.
i did a test with a song with 2.2.1, and the issue appear for a 3:06 long song at :
0:10 0:27
0:09 0:26 0:45 1:03 1:20 1:42 1:56
0:12
what is funny if i don't start the song but just rewind to beginning, the bug appear at different time stamp, at least at the start of the song, if closing vlc and playing fil again make first bug around 10, rewind it make it appear later....
first rewind 0:17 0:28 0:46 1:05 1:22 1:39 1:57
second rewind 0:17 0:35 0:52 1:09 1:27 1:46 2:03
third rewind 0:15 0:34 0:52 1:11 1:28 1:48 2:05
fourth rewind no bug !!!!! during the whole song, this is actually the first time i rewind a song that much, so i will try again same test, and if at fourth rewind still no bug then maybe we can find what is wrong here.
fith rewind again no more bug, so i guess it take 4 rewind ? i will stop and restart file to see if thats the case
ok i just stop and restart the song, still got bug, but i rewind just 2 second after song started playing, so maybe the key is to play the file more ?????? since i went to 2 minute of each rewind i will do this has well....this is one weird test !!!!!
nope that didnt do it,
i also just discovered reading another post how to get message of the error, and this is what i get in 2.2.1

we can see i was right about the blank for 2.2.1, i guess its the core debug: inserting 74892 zeroes.
so can anyone help with this ?
also i replace for 2.2.1 the libflac_plugin.dll that was say on https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=124613 and still doesnt work
to be sure to have tried everything i put back the original libflac_plugin.dll and this is the message i get, so no change
