hello, all

i need a script written and it is totally beyond my capabilities, so here i am will to hire somebody to do it for me

given an mp3, i want to specify the starting place (in seconds), and the number of seconds to play. I need a "hard" fadein, about 1/2 or 3/4 of a second and a "soft" fadeout, 3 seconds.

VLC cannot do fade-out.

bling bling;.. what operating system are you running? the fadin might be a bit on the hard side but perhaps one can fake the fadin with a routine.
gimme a week to see ( then i'll look when i have time )

@donhall i found a way but i'm not posting the code here as it refers to competing software... if i can port over this code to make it vlc compatible i'll post the work around.
but then i need help to port my wmp compatible code to vlc in powershell
