No sound when going back in MP3

No sound when going back in MP3

Postby ynnoj75 » 17 Jun 2015 19:13

When I click in the player bar to go back to an earlier point in an MP3 file, sometimes (~25% of the time) I will get no sound anymore. Sometimes the player freezes, but sometimes the elapsed and remaining times continue changing, just without sound. When either of these behaviors happen, the only way to get sound back is to stop and restart the file. I've experienced this on Windows 8.1, Fedora 22, and Manjaro (from the Arch repos), all in VLC 2.2.1 and 2.2.2. It seems to happen more often on Windows.

Through searching the forums, I've found one other post that seems similar, but with videos: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=126202

I can't find any resolution to that or another similar problem.

I'm new to the forums, but I've been using VLC for years and overall I love it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
