Can't get dshow to work with audio!

Postby starbyone » 17 May 2015 01:24

When running dshow:// (webcam output) and playing a sound file at the same time (from a different program) results in very, VERY choppy sound. I'm trying to play them both in a single file, but can't even succeed with that either.

vlc dshow:// --input-slave=1.mp3

Any attempt to stream webcam and play an audio file at the same time seems impossible! Above does NOT work!

I simply want a command line that will start the webcam and play some music in the background until the audio file is done playing.
