Blu Ray playback-VLC logo only

Postby djjosef » 29 Apr 2015 15:42

I've fought through adding the correct dll file for the correct version of VLC (32 vs 64bit) and have resolved that issue. Now, when I load the disk, I don't get an error all I get is a vlc logo. If I hit play I get a splash screen of the video title (Interstellar in this case) for a moment then back to a vlc logo. Below is the debug output from the point I hit "play". This is a Windows 7 Pro (64bit) box with on board Intel HD4000 graphics adapter and running VLC 64bit.

I've noticed that several people have had this issue but I can't seem to find out if there is an answer because the posts seem to get thread jacked constantly.

Did you activate the bluray menu option?

I've tried with and without that setting enabled. I've also tried advancing the chapters up.

I downloaded the 64-bit 2.2.1 to my Windows 7 Ultimate system today, got the 64 bit libaacs.dll and keydb.cfg installed and tried to play a 'Jupiter Ascending' Blu-ray disc. I got the same results as descibed above. I chose the Blu-ray option, hit play, and I see the splash screen for a second or so and the VLC logo replaces the splash. It can't play that disk. I don't see any suggestions in this string. Has anyone gotten around this?
