Prores 4444 Green screen

Hello everybody, i saw that the last version of Vlc "2.2.1" can read 4444 prores files but i get a green screen when i try to play it, how can i fix this? I run the last macbook retina 15' with Osx Mavericks, thanks for your help all, i really need that..

Impressive video

Decoding issue reproduced with latest VLC. All that's to be seen is the aforementioned green screen. Behaves correctly when decoded using QuickTime / VideoToolbox.

About the green screen, what you're saying is that Vlc can not read the file right?

Indeed, VLC can't play the file because it misdetects the used codec profile. We assume that this should be quite easy to fix for a subsequent update. Thanks for the report and for sharing the media!

Is there any status on this? I too have green screen when playing an Apple ProRes video file. The file works fine in QuickTime or MPC.
It is: Apple ProRes (ap4h), 1296x1056, 15 fps, Planar 4:2:0 YUV. Video is classified and cannot be released.
A PNG video file (avi) seems to play half way before it starts slowing with artefacting somewhat.
Neither file has these issues in MPC nor GOM Player.

@jweinraub: we need more info about your classified file. Can you run "mediainfo" on it and give us the full output? further, a full VLC debug log? or alternatively create a non-classified sample for us using the same codec settings which we can try ourselves?

Looks like avcodec error: Unsupported decoded output format 102 (yuva444p10le)
PS- I am not allowed to distribute this file and the team that made the file won't make something else (sorry I am stuck in the middle here) but I think the error from the log should help hopefully

Will I see any updates posted here or can I be notified some other way regarding this so I can tell my team about this? Unfortunately this video is from a customer of ours and such it was only released to us for diagnosis but we have no authority to share the file with you.

Any update on this? Still can't play in VLC at least half of all of the 4444 files I get. This includes a Linux box and another on Windows.
