Language setting for the menu

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Language setting for the menu

Postby kodela » 05 May 2015 23:06

Hi,

Where is the setting for the menu language stored? I find nothing in the ini file and not in the settings file vlcrc.
Since version 2.1.n I can no longer use two Versions with different language settings.

Ok, I've found it in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\VideoLAN\VLC\Language

I think that's not a good idea. Thus it is not possible to work with different language settings. But that would be important, for example if you must as a moderator in a VLC forum with many different VLC versions (and languages) work.

In the version 2.0.n but it must be different.

setenv (LANG) is not thread-safe.

setenv (LANG) is not thread-safe.
Does not that also apply to the configuration file vlcrc when multiple instances of VLC are performed?
