No, madVR is not open source.

xy-VSFilter is not VLC compatible and so far, I don't see the need of XySubFilter since we have libass

Really now  ?? What is the highlight for VLC 3.0 only chromecast support?

madVR is the best video renderer. xy-VSFilter for playback e.g seeking. Because VLC has miserable seeking. VLC load subtitles by switch back and forth very slow. MPC-HC or mpv many better (seeking and load subtitles). Add this only for VLC Windows. OSX,Linux tough luck.
XySubFilter is better than libass. See my bug report.

If you don't like VLC, then stop using VLC.

madVR is not open source and based on Windows-only technologies. So, how do you want us to use it?
xy-VSFilter has NOTHING to do with seeking. And, once again is a Windows-only hacky technology.

All your bug reports are incomprehensible, verbiage and non facts like: "XySubFilter is better than libass" or "VLC has miserable seeking". And you keep reopening them without any facts.
The best one being ticket 14509.

Seriously, stop using VLC. And learn to be constructive.

No. This is stupid. And there is no reason to do that, except some vague delirium of yours.
Not to mention that half of the bugs YOU file are about iOS.
Yes really VLC has miserable seeking. test yourself
BS without any example, or whatever. One day, you'll learn what facts are.

This has no reference, no fact, at all.

MPC does not do seeking, at all. MPC uses 3rd party codecs and demuxers, aka codec packs.

It depends on the format, of course, which you don't even speak of.

So, once again, another BS post of yours.

Loading a subtitle very slow means nothing.
The loading is done at start and takes a few ms, that you cannot even see it.
