VLC showing weird colours - reds/blues

So sometimes VLC shows really weird colours images are down below I have searched and cannot find this anywhere not entirely sure what to search but if anyone knows

I'm having the same issue. It started with the latest update. At first I thought it was just a bad rip, but it's the same with all of my other videos.

Same here, but only when VLC passes from a clip in a playlist to another specific file.
Restarting the second movie fixes it temporarly.

The problem is very intermittent. sometimes it happens a lot sometimes never all never happens with other players not sure what the problem is can't seem to specifically recreate it happens at random

Does it work if you stop and start again?

What are your GPUs?

I have two GTX 670s in SLI with current stable drivers.

I have this issue using a gtx 960 also had it with a 750ti using the latest drivers from nvidia for gta v. Also had the problem with my igpu from my a8 5600k but it happened less

You don't have the issue with Direct2D or OpenGL, right?

I dunno what i did but its fixed now. Kinda happened once but it wasn't as bad :S

I have exactly the same problem! I tried googling for a solution and I found this thread. This only happens if you are playing a playlist, from the second video onwards. (I am playing .mp4 videos)
Anyone figured out how to fix it?
