You can't.
Could you please explain such attitude?
Recently I took a video by Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro phone. The video had been taken from a construction laying on a table, so the phone was held parallel to the table, long axis to left/right, to get a natural, horizontal 1920x1080 frame.
But VLC 2.2.6 automatically rotates this video right by 90, showing it as an unnatural, vertical 1080x1920 frame. Most likely, the phone had wrongly determine its position and added a wrong angle metadata.
Trying to transcode/rotate this video as described
here, changing angles in "--transform-type", I cannot get a horizontal, properly-oriented frame. There is no angle (0, 90, 180, 270) specified in "--transform-type" to get a properly-oriented frame, the frame is always shown rotated.
If there is no way to disable auto-rotation, how to transform such video to watch is oriented naturally?
