VLC plays only some .TS files

Postby Moonie » 25 Mar 2015 06:05

Does anyone know why VLC will play some .TS files but not others, and is there a solution for this?

The file extension .TS is commonly used for the segments of an audio stream, streamed from a player such as JWPlayer. But, as discussed here, it seems there are differences between the .ts files (?AKA .MP2T files) used by different streams.

Some .TS are corrupt because they are generated by buggy tools. And then some are not corrupt.
