No Sound; using Simply Mepis Debian-Based

Postby Thorrn4 » 01 Nov 2005 00:01

Hello, I recently installed VLC on my computer; I am running Mepis Debian-Based. (I had it before I wiped my hd :P and it worked perfectly)

Every since I installed it, I havent been able to hear sound from VLC; I can run the same video file in xine or kaffeine and it works perfectly. I can change the audio drivers in VLC, but none of them work.

Though I can use another program VLC is my favorite

Thanks in Advance :)

do you use esd or arts ? if so, you might want to install the appropriate VLC plugin :
apt-get install vlc-plugin-esd (gnome)
apt-get install vlc-plugin-arts (kde)
