Feature Request: Folder play with files sorted by date/created

Postby lilbarby » 10 Mar 2015 18:41

Many users want to play files simple stored in folders as it is common on all OS. I cannot understand why mainly this playlist system by Windows Phone is used without the possibility to store and play them from folders as well like used normally in Windows.

A feature to play them sorted by date/created would be great too.
for example, if I'm recording Internet radio music files often are overlapping, then it will be good to play them in order when they were created to
avoid short beginnings/endings of another music before the actual music begins. Normally they are sorted by name, artist, album and so on if playlist system is used.

But this dumb playlist system can't play 485 files sorted by date, and its clear that nobody want do this manually song by song in a playlist...

Thanks

Thank you Jean-Baptiste.

but how can VLC play files sorted by date ?

If I make a .xspf or .m3u or .m3u8 or .html playlist file with newest VLC Rincewind, and copy this files into my musicfolder or into the separated playlist folder of the Nokia they cannot be recognized by VLC WPhone nor I can find them with the folder function.
