Subtitles and DeInterlace: Always set to On

Postby happydappy » 07 Mar 2015 19:02

When using VLC on Mac there are two settings I always like to use:
Subtitles: On
Video>Deinterlace: Auto

Is there anyway to make these settings persistent so I don't have to select them each time I open a video.

For subtitles, I have looked through preferences (including "Show All") but can't find a setting.
For video, in preferences, I have set deinterlace to Auto. But when I play a video, that preference setting reverts back to Off.

Thanks for any help!

If you want deinterlace always On, that set it to On, not Auto. Auto should attempt to detect when deinterlacing is necessary, but may not always detect I suppose.

Thanks! I set it to "on' in preferences but when I restart VLC, it goes back to Off. What about subtitles? Thanks for any help you can offer.
