VLC keeps sticked to Simple Preferences.

Since a few weeks, VLC 2.1.4 x64 doesn't remember to go to Advanced Preferences when going to Preferences. I've to switch the with the radio button every time.

I tried to reset the preferences. No effect.
I tried to reinstall VLC 2.1.4 x64 with "reset preferences and delete buffers". No effect.
I tried to uninstall VLC 2.1.4 x64 and install VLC 2.1.5 x86 (VLC 2.1.5 x64 has a nasty close bug). No effect.

What to do now?

That's how it always worked, AFAIK.

Tools > Preferences > Show settings = All > Interface: [v] Show advanced options

Yes, that works, so we don't have to click the "all" radio button every time we open preferences, but the preferences dialog is now ridiculously short, so we have to resize it every time we open it instead. Not much more useful. (Or I guess you don't have to resize it if you like working in a tiny window.)
