I've downloaded the latest version (was really excited to see it) and updated it on my iPad. I tried running a few different HEVC videos and none of them worked. All still exhibit the same problem of broken video and fine audio. My fear is given its an iPad 2 (second generation) it may simply not have the power needed to decompress it (all videos are 720p so I would have thought it should work). Anyone have any suggestions?
Just to add, I'm running iOS 8.1.3, VLC version is 2.4.1 (1). The iPad is a model MC705C/A. When trying VLC, I have no other apps running in the background (other than system services). The HEVC video is 1280x720, 23 fps, 483kbps bit rate. I've tried several different HEVC video and all have the same problem... however playing them on my iPhone 6 with the same version of iOS and VLC, no issues.
Thanks!
