VLC iOS status "not currently available"

When I try to access App Store link on VLC iOS page I get taken to iTunes where I see the message: "The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store." I'm located in the USA, Colorado. Is there a problem with the VLC status in the US?

Thank you for the private replies suggesting alternative to VLC for iOS. I'm concerned that the app may have been kicked out of the App store again due to licensing issues again. Is this the case?
