switching two input streams in output stream.

Postby pik256 » 06 Nov 2014 23:44

I have two security cameras I can watch via RTSP streams. I want to use VLC to make one output RTSP stream containing views from both cameras - not as mosaic but switched every 30 seconds. Is that possible with VLM?

I could set up broadcast "xx" with two inputs and setup two endless schedules repeating every 60 second ("control xx play 1" and after 30 seconds "control xx play 2").
But as far As I understood I cannot stream it via RTSP because it is not VoD (anyway I tried but dont't know how to set working RTSP output).
And last but not least: when I streamed it via http and watched output with VLC then it stopped at each switching and I needed to reopen stream every 30 second. I need one continuous output stream.

How could it be done properly?
