Get rid of VLC direct3d box when playing video

Postby willythecat » 02 Nov 2014 01:42

RealPlayer has started playing up with some of my video files so have just switched over to VideoLan as we speak.
Brilliant, all of my video files can now be played without any problems whatsoever!
VideoLan obviously plays my Audio files, but looking at the standard screen icon tended to be a tad boring so changed the screen visualisation
to Gorm which makes it a bit more palatable.
But now, when l load a video file, there is a thumping big box over it, headed (VLC direct3D output) which is showing the Gorm display to the
sounds of the video.
How do l set it so that when playing music it shows the Gorm display, and when playing videos it does just that, WITHOUT the Gorm display box overlay?
Any help appreciated.
Regards
