Trouble displaying Korean SMI subtitles

Postby yoppie » 05 Oct 2014 14:39

Hello there,

I'm trying to play SMI subtitles for a movie using VLC. I set the Input Codec for subtitles as EUC-KR/CP494, selected Gulim (korean font) as a font, and also tried with Arial Unicode MS (I'm running windows but I don't believe this to be OS-specific).
Setting the right codec made VLC display empty squares instead of garbage latin characters (Oÿ%*µ... you know what I mean), so I'm guessing that part worked, but I'm stuck with the font issue.

Would you guys have any idea about how to fix this ?

Here's a link to the smi file : http://www.filedropper.com/cafedeflore2 ... 64anoxmous

(I checked the messages window by any chance, with level 2 logging, but nothing appears there, except my mouse clicks.)
