DVB-S VLC streaming

Postby forever » 18 Oct 2005 15:47

Hi to all,

I want to stream dvb-s programs over my linux pc by VLC.

As I read from VLC documents, VLC support this on Hauppauge Nova-S and Nexus devices.

Can anyone used this devices for streaming with VLC?

Or Can anyone advice me a DVB-s PCI card that works with VLC (for rtp streaming with UDP)?

Best Regards..

I'm using SkyStar2 PCI with VLC. There are no problem with it, if You set the "Budget" mode in Preferences->Access->DVB

I have a twinhan and VLC for streaming to the LAN (wifi too) works well with TSreader as the host. Mind you progDVB already has a media server in there and you can change channels over a LAN with no problem.
