"VLC could not read the file (Bad file descriptor)" Problem

Postby Yonghwa » 07 Jul 2014 00:22

Basically I brought a new hard drive recently (external and connected it)
I moved some videos over and can't play them while on the new hard drive otherwise it'll pull up this problem
however it'll work just fine if I bring them back over on to my internal/main hard drive. Is there any specific reason
to this? Like is it the hard drives fault or is this normal. If the hard drive is alright is there any way to fix this?

Do the files have all three time and dates set in the properties? The C run-time is known to fail if not.
