Playing a DVD from harddisc

Postby CellRenderer » 14 Oct 2005 17:02

I miss the following feature: File-open-dialog for selecting a Video-TS folder on harddisc, then playing the DVD from harddisc. PowerDVD can do this.
I do not want to cheat and remap my drive every time, thats annoying.

VLC can read Iso.
I've made an Iso of a dvd and VLC can read it perfectly.

DVD directory on a remote computer

Postby Jens » 05 Apr 2006 11:29

I would like to open a DVD directory on a hard disk from a remote computer in another LAN (without Samba or similar). Is this possible with HTTP or similar? If not, this would be a feature request.

At the moment, I can share the DVD directory and play the VOB files directly, but I cannot see the menus. The open directory feature works only on the local machine.
