Drag n' Dropping Files Into Docked Playlist-View

Postby RockinRoll69 » 18 May 2014 01:34

Hi,

Can someone tell me how to select several files, drag and drop them onto the docked playlist AND have them stay in the same order?

I listen to lectures, audio books, etc. and when I select the files and drop them into VLC they're never in order forcing me to select each file individually. This last book has 50 chapters...oye!

Thanks!
Rocklin

Is only 1 out of order?

there is a strang thing with win drag&drop. as i understand it the file you are pointing at when you start dragging is placed the first in the list, then the others follow in listed order from the win-explorer.

Thanks, huck.

I just did a few tests with the same audio book from win-explorer. I selected all of the files, dragged&dropped them and they're pretty well scrambled. I did it 3 times to see if they listed in the same scrambled order each time...they were scrambled in 3 different ways.

I've been playing them with WMP without the scrambling problem. But, of course, I'd rather use VLC because, once it's loaded, it handles the files better.
