Save logo with video?

Postby szaxe » 28 Mar 2013 18:45

Hi, is there away to save the logo in a video? I tried but when trying to save it gave the option to save subtitles but not the logo. Or is there a way to select a logo to open when a particular video is selected? I know it remembers the last logo, but I need different videos to have different logo's.

Regards Szaxe.

Similar to Marquee. Just set up Logo filter and Stream to a file with transcoding with ",soverlay, sfilter=logo" in your transcoding chain.

Ok, after trying many times I can't get a result??? I have gone into "preferences" and selected "subtitles/OSD" and selected "Logo sub source" and then opened "Logo overlay" and selected a logo in "Logo filenames". I then selected "Media" - "Stream" selected the song and then selected a file to save it to on the desktop. I selected "Activate Transcoding" and pasted ",soverlay, sfilter=logo" into the string ...

The File starts streaming and I know it is the right logo as it changes to the new logo from the one selected via "Tools" - "effects and filters" etc. The file saves to desktop, but there is no logo? ... I have tried several different ways. Any help appreciated.

Regards Szaxe.

Any one willing to help please? Even if it is just to say it is or it is not possible .... I have searched and searched the internet for any examples and the closest I have found is "#transcode{sfilter=logo{file='C:\Users\Name\Desktop\logo.png', position=10,transparency=150}, vcodec=h264, venc=x264{bpyramid=none, weightp=0}, vb=700, acodec=mp3, ab=96, channels=2}:std{access=http, mux=asf, dst=127.0.0.1:1234}" and have taken bits and pieces from it and I always end up with a saved video without a logo.

I don't mind shooting in the dark forever if there is a possibility of success, but any help would be appreciated ...

Regards Szaxe

P.s, I do help on issues I have knowledge of thanks.

So it works for me but only on version 2.0.8.
With version 2.1.3 of VLC crashes. Why?
