No audio in 3GP files

Postby ash_ruh@yahoo.com » 13 Oct 2005 17:43

Tried all possibilities mentioned on this forum but finally gave up.

Audio is okay on all file types except in 3GP file format. The error I get is::

quicktime error: cannot initialize QT
main error: no suitable decoder module for fourcc `samr'.
VLC probably does not support this sound or video format.

Does QT mean QuickTime? If yes, why is VLC looking for QT.

Any ideas to resolve the issue will be appreciated.

VLC does not yet have a decoder for amr audio. It's on the list of things to do, however, so just have some patience and it'll be added sooner or later :)
