How to change default audio from mono to stereo?

Postby vlcisthebest » 30 Mar 2014 03:24

I've downloaded a video that plays mono audio by default. I can change the audio to stereo by using VLC Player and selecting Audio, Stereo, Left. How do I make stereo the default way the audio is played?

You can not make with the VLC from a mono track a stereo track. But the mono sound is output from both speakers.

Hmm. This video only plays sound from one of my headphones until I change the audio to stereo. Then it plays sound from both headphones. There has to be a way to make the audio play correctly by default, I would think.

Check your system settings for the sound output.
I can select for mono files no stereo. (VLC 2.1.3)

Thanks, and my PC settings are fine. Doesn't VLC Support browse their forum to see if anyone needs help with their product? If they don't want us to email them for support they should help us here.
