Streams quit at random intervals

Postby mfisher » 25 Mar 2014 17:18

My setup is as follows: I have a VLM server connected to 7 different encoders, each running 2 streams from line in. At random intervals, streams will drop on VLM and have to be manually "played" from the http interface to bring them back up. Below is a screenshot of when things seem to start going downhill. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

"read error : connection reset by peer"

It's a network issue.

I have two streams running on each encoder. They both don't drop at the same time. That seems like it rules out networking, no?

Looks like your encoder is closing the connection, when the stream drops.

What would cause the stream to drop though? It's worth noting that all the encoders are running VLC too.
