video stop when in background

Hi.
I have many video file for music video. I like to watch but sometimes I like only to listen. When I start video then put in minimize by pressing the home button on my samsung then the music stops. How can I make the video file not stop when I minimize? I am not closing the program, only not focusing on it anymore, then I go back to it and have to re-start the playing.ok thank you.

I almost forgot. This is from nightly build called 2.0 git version. Or "VLC-debug-20140313-0113"

thanks for the reply, when I long press on the file it has Share, Delete, Move, Copy, Rename and Details
in VLC a long press on the video does nothing

so I tried a last thing, I opened VLC first, then locate the video and long pressed there, it worked !! Thank you
I can now listen to the videos in the background

also I was really sleepy when I registered and my name is actually typed wrong, is there a way to fix this

You have to long press on a video in the videos tab of VLC. The menu you describe sounds like one from a file manager or the like.
