VLC playlist directory

Hey Everyone,

I recently cleaned up my music folder and changed the directory of my listening music. Unfortunately this also messed up my playlists as they think the file is in the old location.

I tried to Google this but found no fix. Is there any way to change the playlist so that it knows where the music is located now? Thank you.

I'm having the same problem, though i didn't change anything afaik; VLC JUST started doing this... anyone know what's up and how to fix it?

It would be nice to just be able to specify what directory playlists are loaded/saved from, like with VLCSnaps, becasue it's really annoying that it's wanting to save playlists to my documents library every single time, EVEN during the same session?

Unfortunately this also messed up my playlists as they think the file is in the old location.

Then edit your playlist files in some text editor and fix all paths there. Use relative paths instead of absolute ones.

IDK if this is realated to the original post, but what fixed this problem for me was upgrading to the 64-bit version of VLC! (now, VLC remembers my playlist location)
