Hw decoder broken with latest nightly

Hi. Vlc was working fine with feb 5 nightly build but today I try the latest nightly and found that I cannot play video with GPU. Device . xperia ray. CM 11. kitkat 4.4.2. Logcat http://pastebin.com/ijig1AbB

Can you try full hardware decoding?

I have tried all options but all are dead. Only able to play using cpu/ sw decoder.Works fine If I switch to previous build.

Android 4.4.2 should get mediacodec, I don't get why you have OMX running

Vlc shut down if I try to play any video with hw.

Sorry, but your ROM is probably not supporting MediaCodec correctly. You need to use ndk gdb to debug it.

But why vlc build of feb 5 is working well and all other players which are found on market too works well.

But unless gdb, it will be hard to fix.

I try the new one. 15th. but still same. unstall and reinstall but no benefit. log of 15th build.

Hi. It seems it has been broken only on kitkat. I flashed Jellybean Rom and vlc works well. I will use jellybean further because lagecy cm 11 is still in beta stage. Also fixing a bug may help other user who are using kitkat via cm mode

4.1 does not have hw by default. Force it in preferences and try again

@JB. Ya. I already know that :p and thanks for a feature which allow to use sw decoder if hw acc. Failed.

@flx42 Sorry I am not using kitkat right now because some apps are not compatible with kitkat till now and CM is still in beta too.

It would help us if you use 4.1 and activate HW in the preferences.
