Hi,
I am a user of a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I downloaded VLC for android but I cannot view videos properly with it, it freezes after a few seconds. I am trying to play my own videos recorded with the device on the device and on a computer and both freeze the same way. Using the default media player on the device works correctly though, but I would like to use VLC if possible.

Anyone knows the problem? And how to solve it?

Please try the nightly build.

Using VLC-debug-20140204-0108.apk (Android (ARMv7-A) build) on a Fairphone.

Specs:
CPU: MT6589M Cortex A7 (ARMv7), 1.2 GHz quad-core
GPU: PowerVR SGX544 @ 156 MHz

So far everything wokrs fine with this build.

Hi, Please tell me which version to test. I have a Nexus 7 2012 with Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC consisting of a 1.3 GHz Cortex-A9 quad-core central processing unit (CPU) and a twelve-core 416 MHz Nvidia GeForce ULP graphics processing unit (GPU).
Currently having issues on v0.1.4.
Thanks!
pete.

Thanks! This works pretty well, considerably better than previous versions I tried. I will try to test it properly at the weekend.

I am not able to set equalizer and volume boost level manually. If I slide volume boost to full level it automatically gets to set the level as before it was.For equalizer also same thing happens. It does not remember settings.6th Feb was the last nightly build were it was working.

Problem in Subtitle

Postby shahram » 16 Feb 2014 21:33

Hi,
I tested the VLC for Android Beta (0.1.4) on Samsung Note II (Android 4.1.2)

There is a problem in Arabic (Persian) subtitle rendering. I have some subtitle files that VLC for Windows displays correctly by choosing "Arabic (Windows-1256)" subtitle text encoding, But in Android version the same files can not display correctly.

(I choose "Arabic (Windows-1256)" in subtitle text default menu.)

Please let me know if there is any other configuration that needed to do.
Thanks

Hello!

I downloaded the beta version available on 19 February 2014 from 1Mobile Market and successfully played movies in .m4v and .mp4 formats. The test phone is the BLU Advance 4.0 (Android 4.2.2).

I would be happy to help you people test this program. Please advise on the best version for my phone and the filetypes you would like me to test for you.
