Creating Video File From RTSP Stream

Hello to all,

Is there a tutorial somewhere on the site on how to capture an RTSP stream into a usable video file?

I've been reading a number of much older tutorials on other sites on how to do this, but so far I've not managed to get a video file at the end that will actually play.

Any links or suggested reading would be very much appreciated.
