Web Interface without password

Postby traders-banquet » 30 Jan 2014 09:37

Hello,

I use vlc for linux since many years included in my homemade Webinterface that controlls my home but since the last update vlc need a password if I start the web interface. This makes vlc useless because I have a touchscreen without any keyboard.
If there will be no chance to use the vlc webinterface without a password anymore I have to change this part by another player.

Could someone resolve this problem for me, maybe there is a possibility that I dont't know. I knew for some reason it should be necessary to use a password protected web interface but I would like to decide by myself if this interface should be protected by a password or not and inside my home lan it is not necessary at all and for my touch-screen useless.

Sorry for my bad english .....

Thanks for your help

You should be able to change that in the lua script.
