VLC vs USB vs Kenwood Car Stereo vs Quality?

Postby nightrain383 » 04 Feb 2014 01:37

Hello all - -

Okay, newb here with a strange scenario. I've been using the 'Listen to youtube' for taking audio files [mp3's] to my ADATA USB, in fat32. It seems to depend on the track chosen from youtube, but some songs, when played on my car stereo [Kenwood KDC-MP342U] seem to omit part of the track. Be it vocal or guitar....and it doesn't show itself normally on desktop playback or even played through a TV w/usb port. I also have several CD's normally rip/burned that play fine on in the car. Would the 'listen to youtube' service be a likely culprit for the missing audio or perhaps due to the original uploader?

I could go wma lossless, but my sony tv won't play then then.[copyright] Should I try a differeent MP3 rate? I think they're at 128. Sorry in advance for the newb questions.
I'd rather have higher quality as I still have 7gig open.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Are you sure those files are stereo? Ctrl+J in VLC.
