Can VLC Add Volume During Video Playback? How?

Postby TomBrooklyn » 16 Jan 2014 10:12

v.3.8.2

Can VLC add volume to the audio of a video during playback?

If so, where is the control for this function found?

I read on these forums that VLC used to have a volume control that allowed an increase of 400%, but it was gradually decreased to 125%. I will take any increase I can get. I have a Lenovo T400 laptop running Linux ubuntu, and it produces sound that is barely audible in a quiet room. I need enough volume to hear the audio in a noisy room. The source material is mainly college engineering course videos from youtube, and The Great Course (TTC) videos which are in mpeg4 file format.
