AppleTV and VLC app for iPad/iPhone (wont display)

Hi,

Hope that you can help me.
I want to play a movie from my ipad or iphone with VLC app using apple tv and airplay mirroring.
But when I turn on the movie in the app and mirror on to apple tv it only display a logo on my tv screen - and a status bar so that I can see the movie is playing and the sound is on - but no image only the logo for a music file.
what should I do????

Does the video play normally on your iPad or iPhone? Which iOS version are you using?

Yes it does with subs and all. Both on iPad and iPhone.
iOS 7.0.4

Same issue here.
Using latest available vlc from the App Store on iOS 704.
Movie plays fine on my iPad. With mirroring it played via appletv a couple seconds before switching back to iPad only playing. Any advice?

Hi,

I am still experiencing the no Video Problem. What update did you do?

I am playing the DVD rip from a DLNA compliant server from a NAS, VLC plays
the movie fine on iPhone 5 and iPad (both iOS7) with subtitle etc. Once you
activate the Airplay on Apple TV, only sound comes through with a Music Icon.
The TV screen shows the URL of the NAS stream, but not video.

The firmware on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV are all updated. VLC is Ver. 2.2.2.

Any suggestions?

Problem solved with Mirroring. Felix's IOS documentation explains the issue.

OK - my only issue is now, that streaming isn't very good.... it works slowly - I dont know the english word, but it's it like when you try to stream something from the net and you have too slow connection. Any suggestions on that?

I have exactly the same problem as mokris had
He said it was resolved with Mirroring and that Felix's IOS documentation explains the issue.
Where can i find this documentation?
