Progress bar shifted with Opus encoded with opusenc 0.1.8

Postby shmerl » 27 Dec 2013 06:54

I recently encoded some audio using opusenc from opus-tools 0.1.8 (libopus 1.1). VLC 2.1.2 plays it properly, but the progress bar is shifted, starting somewhere 1/3 from the beginning. Is it because it still uses older libopusfile or something else?

probably because of big audio sample size.

probably because of big audio sample size.
I encoded it from the FLAC source which had 16 bit depth and 44100 Hz sample rate. Opus came out to be 48000 Hz for some reason (but still 16 bit depth). I simply used opusenc without any special settings.

But I had some other files which I encoded with older version of opusenc (which also came out to be 48 KHz) and there the progress bar in VLC is working properly.

Opus is always 48000Hz.

For the rest, I don't know.

Opus is always 48000Hz.
Yeah, that's what I figured.
For the rest, I don't know.
Should I file a bug about it?
