Audio problem when playing 720/1080 mkv files

Hello, i recently upgraded my computer and after that i have been having problem playing mkv files.

I downloaded the latest version of VLC and whenever i played 720p files the audio went out for 1 sec every 10 sec or so and there was like constant interference or something like that (dno how to descripe it better). I tried downgrading to 2.0.8 and the problem where the audio went out for 1 sec every 10 sec fixed but not the interference/stuttering.

I should also say that when i had the latest version and played mkv files through my brother computer i didnt have the problem where the audio went out for 1 sec every 10 sec or so.

The audio is fine when playing files such as mp4 avi

I'm running windows 7 64
AMD A8-6600k
Nvidia GTX 760
8 gig ram
gigabyte f2a85x-up4 motherboard
