VLC 2.1.1 Ricewind - 125% Max Volume Question

Postby yoshiot » 18 Nov 2013 20:16

Why is it that the volume can only be maxed out at 125% instead of the usual 200% in this release and is there a way to change it back or alter the settings to get the same effect?

Yes I know it distorts most things at 200% but some videos have really low audio and the 200% option is one of the most useful features i've found in VLC.

Thanks & Have A Great Day

The audio module has been changed, but you can still exceed 125% volume, using the scroll wheel.

The old 200% is the new 125%, ie the same dB (+3dB) and you can go up to 200% (old 400%)
