PMs don't send; just go to Outbox

Postby hecatedoe » 19 Oct 2013 19:57

Hope this is the right place to post this. I sent a user a PM (composed it and clicked "submit" and got a "successful" message. But the message still shows (after days) in my outbox and nothing is showing in my Sent box. What's happening?

With phpBB, the message remains in the outbox until it is read allowing you a chance to further revise it before it is read. Once read it will move to the sent box.

Wow, thanx! That is different from every other forum I've ever been on ;), so I appreciate your clearing that up. And other things here aren't working as expected, either. I posted in two threads complaining about VLC crashing on Win 64 bit, and since that's what I'm getting in a few days, I was very concerned. But when i get a notice that there's a new reply, and go to the link, it just shows the old replies, nothing from the user mentioned in the email. I suspect that means his post was nuked for some reason, but with no information really addressing the users havintg crash problems, I was looking forward to a solution!

Yes, that usually indicates a post was deleted that was most likely a spam post.
