Problem with streaming

Postby jerry20 » 17 Oct 2013 03:21

Hi
I have been using VLC (and VLC activex plugin) for streaming from stb to pc and it has been working great.
But I noticed that for some channels the stream didn't work. I checked the Media Information and compared channels working and not working and I think I found the difference:

Those which are not working in streaming display so many streams under "codec" as in the screenshot. Those which are working only have a few streams for video and audio.
I can see media received from the "Statistics" but not decoded.
The channel has only one video track but many are displayed under codecs.

I am using VLC 2.1, windows 7 64 bits.
The problem is in both VLC and the activex plugin.

Can this be solved?

Thank you very much

Thanks for your reply.
They are not files. They are channels streaming from Linux receiver
Most channels work great. Only 2 or 3 providers have this problem.

I recorded a few seconds from a channel that doesn't work on vlc streaming and uploaded it here:

From vlc when I enable loop all and check the Codec Information, I get the same behavior as described in the first post.

Thank you very much.

But this is direct recording from the channel.
I opened it with media player classic and it viewed properly.
The channel streaming gives the same behavior exactly.
Thanks
