VLC Mac Crashing - Something to do with subtitle

Postby deus0ww » 13 Oct 2013 04:26

In advanced preferences, I set "Input/Codecs" -> "Track Settings" - > "Subtitle track" to -1 and "Subtitle track ID" to -1. As I watch a lot of anime, these are convenient settings to have subtitle default to on. However this is causing VLC to crash when I open other videos without subtitles (which I'm not allowed to post in part or in full, for work reasons... I asked). Could someone look into this, please, so I'm not stuck using an older version of VLC? Thank you.

The weirdness:
- Nightlies before 2.1.0-RC2 - crashes (early September)
- 2.1.0-RC2 - Works perfectly <- This is what I'm stuck using now.
- Release version 2.1.0 - crashes
- Nightlies of 2.1.1 - still crashing as of today

This doesn't appear to be the same crash as mine...

Of course, it's not. Topic split.

According to Trac, this issue seems to be fixed. However, there hasn't been a new nightly build of 2.2.0 since Feb. 3rd (before the fix). Could someone look into making 2.2.0 nightlies available again? Thank you.
