VLC 2.1.0 and sounds

Postby cuser » 13 Oct 2013 15:24

1. so we can't put VLC's volume to 200% anymore? For me its capped in 125% which isn't enuf for me* and can't increase speakers volume cause when I do something else which produces sound it would be too high.

2. fluidsynth got removed? at least I can't find it anywhere anymore so can't play MIDIs with VLC.

(not sound related 3. 2.0.8 said it is latest version when doing version checkup but site had 2.1.0.)

*edit: especially since can't disable equalizer permanently.

still waiting reply.

also how do I get VLC to remember to reset volume to 125% since now when I open it sound is at 100% even in settings its set to 125%, I got VLC to remember it somehow but not sure how since it was quite accidentally done.

edit: got equalizer disabled after a while trying so that's fixed.

1. Tools -> Preferences (Show settings = All) -> Interface -> Main interfaces -> Qt
Then at the very bottom of the right panel set the Maximum Volume option.
Save, exit and restart VLC.

2. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=114123&hilit=MIDI
