Old Playlist Window for .8.2?

Postby Guest » 24 Sep 2005 09:17

Is there anyway to get back the old playlist window in .8.2? Or at the very least, have it open above the player window? I like being able to see the controller while having a safari window open, but I cannot have this when the playlist is open, which I like keeping open.

If not possible in ..8.2, can this be added to the next version (both options)?

Sorry, but it would require quite a large amount of work to accomplish that. Isn't the "close playlist"-button suited enough for this purpose? Moving the playlist above the controller-section would be against Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and good interface-design in general, so we won't do that either actually.
Please don't get me wrong: I do understand your situation, but I don't know a good way how to solve it.

BTW. If you are on 10.4, there are at least 2 nice Exposé-widgets, which are even smaller than the minimised controller-window and really handy.

I don't want to have it open above the controller... but a ability to have it in a seperate window...
If you open the playlist, the controller can move it's position to make everything visible...
In fact that's one reason, why I'm still using 0.8.1

I know, but I really can't see the advantage of the new playlist...
It looks cool and what else?

It't less windows, so less clutter. It was requested a lot.

Just use the hotkey to show and hide the playlist quickly is my advice to you.
