VLC 2.1.0: No option to change interface language?

Today I installed VLC 2.1.0 and found that VLC no longer is in English. I'm using OS X 10.8.5 and the system language is Swedish. However I prefer some applications to be in English. Is there a reason for this for change?

Also, renaming the folder /Applications/VLC.app/Contents/Resources/sv.lproj did not bring back English

You can set your prefered language in the global settings of your Mac. VLC will take the right one.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. I use Swedish as my system language and I want VLC in English. I do not want to change my system language to English. There was an option in VLC prior to 2.1 that made it possible to use any language, regardless of system language. Clearly there must be a reason for removing this option. I want the option because VLC is community translated and contains many errors. Maybe put it in the advanced preferences?

For now, I solved the problem by downloading a third party app that changes language of a choosen application. Still, I would prefer if the option in VLC was restored. Hopefully I'm not the only one wanting this option back.

This option will be back in version 2.1.1 this week.

It was actually removed because the former implementation was technically wrong and incomplete. It's re-written in a clean way now.
