what system?

On windows, the skins2 module is installed with vlc and there is no need to copy or change anything.. merely use the GUI to Settings -> Switch Interface -> Skins2.

Or as you say:

Code: Select all

vlc -I skins2
or this, they are the same:

Code: Select all

vlc --intf skins2
Is it a version on Linux?

use View -> Messages to find out skins2 problems when you try to change interfaces. Or use the logger module to see the messages and write them to a file:

Code: Select all

vlc --intf skins2 --verbose 2 --extraintf logger
does the skins2 module exist?:

Code: Select all

vlc --module skins2

vlc-log.txt

0.8.1 is not as good..

you need the proper configuration with the modules

hmmph..

yes, I can not help anymore since I am a windoze newb ;)

But, I recognize the problem though.

I would say the best bet is to visit the irc.freenode.net/#videolan channel between about 6pm and 12 midnight GMT. Someone can help interactively that way... :D Or post to the developer mailing list.

I will have to learn this answer :)

but please use at least 0.8.2 before you proceed
