VideoLAN Movie Creator

Am I missing something? I downloaded VLC Media Player the other day and love it. And then I saw that there is a program on the VLC website called VideoLAN Movie Creator, but when I try to find a download for it there's nothing there. I saw the statement about "We are looking for contributors," and decided that maybe you actually had to contribute to find the link to the Movie Creator. So I gladly contributed $5 US expecting to find some sort of link to the download. Much to my surprise there wasn't one.

Being a bit confused I decided to try and contact the people at VLC through the email listed in the "Contact Us" page. But in the 2 times I tried sending an email to that address I'd get back an email telling me my email "Is being held until the list moderator can review it for approval.

The reason it is being held:

Post by non-member to a members-only list"

and then I got absolutely no response after that.

Where is Movie Creator? I take it that it's still in development. If that's the case, why not just say so on its webpage!?

And why can't I reach someone through and email address that is listed as the email address to contact someone at? I was more than happy to contribute the money I contributed because I'm always happy to help develop open source programs, but right now I really feel like I'm just getting the shaft.

Hmmmm. Does NOBODY know the answer to my question!? Not even a forum administrator. I'm kind of starting to wish I'd never contributed that $5. My direct emails to VLC get bounced back as unanswerable because I'm not a "member" and then when I join and ask on the forum I get ignored here, too. What's going on!?!?

Sorry, but noone said that contributing would give a link, this seems crazy scam that is not the use of our team.
VLMC is too buggy for normal users, that's all.

Stable downloads are not available, for now! Sorry for the issue!

The wording is very very unclear. It sounds like the download is not available at the moment because of some file server issue. Not because the program is not yet stable enough for production.

It's 2015 now, it's been two years...

Movie Creator will never come of age. so might as well forget the concept and project. I realize the open source nature of the project, but still, there is NO progression whatsoever. with literally years (NOT months) elapsing without the project seeing the light of day. We don't live forever. Use VideoLAN for where it's specialization and expertise lies which is with the VLC player, full stop, and look elsewhere for video NLE creation needs. I might suggest BlackMagic Design's DaVince Resolve for starters. It is a very robust, very thorough program and completely free.
